Martin, Tenn.–A Weakley County woman is still being treated in the Elvis Presly Memorial Trauma Center in Memphis after being shot in the head early Sunday morning.
Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan said a 911 call was received 53 minutes after midnight on Sunday, December 29, reporting a woman had been accidentally shot in the head at 1670 Billingsby Rd. between Martin and Latham.
Victim Amanda Workman, age 33, was transported to Volunteer Hospital in Martin and then transferred to the trauma center.
The incident is under investigation.
