Paris, Tenn.—At a short and sweet session Thursday night, the Paris City Commission issued a resolution approving the new PILOT agreement with Eurotranciatura that was okayed on Monday by the Paris Industrial Development Board.
As reported by WENK/WTPR earlier this week, the agreement covers the purchase of and improvements to buildings adjoining their property and the purchase of new equipment.
Economic Development Director Rob Goad said at Monday’s meeting that the need for the new space and equipment was generated by two new contracts at Euro and the agreement will mean some 60 new jobs.
The agreement is valued at $7.5M and will be in place for 10 years.
Goad said to the city commission Thursday night, “Euro has been a good partner with both the city and county” and he noted how the company has expanded to a current 188 jobs and is projecting 300 jobs by 2023.
