Bear Caught On UT Knoxville Campus

Knoxville, Tenn.–Early Sunday morning, TWRA officials caught a bear that was wandering through the University of Tennessee campus and was stuck inside Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
According to the TWRA, around 4 am, Lt. Doty with the University of Tennessee Police Dept. notified TWRA Wildlife Sgt. Roy Smith that there was a bear making its way through the University of Tennessee campus.
Sgt. Smith and Wildlife Officer Jeff Roberson responded to the scene and were able to quickly tranquilize and remove the bear from the area with the help of University of Tennessee Police officers.
According to the TWRA, the bear will be transported to more suitable bear habitat and released.
