Nashville, Tenn.–The families of stabbing victims Clayton Beathard and Paul Trapeni prepare to bury both today in Franklin.
Clayton Beathard, age 22, of Thompson Station, leaves family in McKenzie. He is the son of Susan and Casey Beathard, formerly of McKenzie; grandson of Cindy Summers of McKenzie and the late Jerry Connell, and nephew of Barry Summers of Huntingdon, Joel Summers, McKenzie.
Beathard is the brother of C.J. Beathard, quarterback for the 49ers, and Tucker Beathard, country music performer. Beathard played football at Long Island University and Battle Ground Academy. He was a TSSAA Mr. Football in 2014.
Funeral services for Beathard are set for 3 p.m. Saturday, December 28, at Grace Chapel in Franklin.
Trapeni’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church.
Both young men were stabbed in midtown Nashville Saturday, December 21, and both died later at Vanderbilt Medical Center. After several days on the run, the suspect, Michael Mosley, was finally arrested in Cheatham County.
The two were stabbed as they came to the defense of a young woman.
