Shepherd's Table To Host Holiday Meal

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Shepherd’s Table will be hosting a Christmas Celebration Supper on December 17th, at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon, located at 19835 E. Main Street. Dining will begin promptly at 5 pm and the kitchen will be open until 6:45 pm. Everyone is invited, whether you’re in need or just not wanting to eat alone. The table is open to everyone.
The menu for their Christmas Celebration Supper will include spiral cut ham, homemade macaroni and cheese, collard greens, baby carrots, dinner rolls, and a variety of desserts.
Everyone that attends The Shepherd’s Table is treated as a guest and served restaurant style. Guests are taken to a table and seated by a volunteer. Someone else then comes to their table and takes their supper and drink order. The volunteers do all of the cleanup, as well. The guests are asked to simply enjoy a delicious meal compliments of the hard-working kitchen staff.
The Shepherd’s Table is a Community Kitchen created by the members, volunteers and friends of the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon. and is lead by Co-chairmen and church members David Ray Carter and his wife, Suzanne. The Shepherd’s Table has grown over the last year and now feeds more than 100 people each month.
The mission of the Community Kitchen was to serve as many people in need of a hot meal as possible.  The community kitchen’s success is dependent upon guests attending, volunteers and donations. If you know of someone that needs a hot meal or would just prefer to not eat alone please inform them about The Shepherd’s Table or better yet bring them by and join.

The Shepherd’s Table will have their first supper of the new year on January 21st,  the third Tuesday of the month, at the First Presbyterian Church Of Huntingdon. Shepherd’s Table will also be adding an additional meal on the fourth week of the month in 2020. More details will be available after the first of the year.
