Huge Crowd Greets Santa's Arrival In Paris

By Shannon McFarlin News Director
Paris, Tenn.–A huge crowd was in downtown Paris Friday to greet Santa Claus and his entourage as they arrived at Santa’s house on the courthouse lawn for North Pole Family Fun Day. Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph and the Christmas Mouse arrived on a Paris Fire Truck, with Santa surrounded by children as he made his way to his Gingerbread House where he will be on Saturdays and Sundays through December 22.
The event is sponsored each year by the Downtown Paris Association. Santa will be in his house on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 2-4 p.m.
Children and adults were treated to a number of free activities including Christmas crafts with the Henry Co. 4-H Honor Club, trackless train rides through downtown, a petting zoo, and face painting.
This year’s Elves are Anna Hefner, Olivia Grace Wyatt, and Faith Hudson, with Nelson Denman as Rudolph and Zoe Poulliot as the Christmas Mouse.
The trackless train is provided by U Foulkes Jumping of Clarksville and the petting zoo is provided by Molly Collins of Clarksville.
