Cottage Grove, Tenn.–It wasn’t what anyone had planned to be doing on Thanksgiving Day, but a chimney fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries in Cottage Grove Thursday.
The Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department was called to 2323 Hayes Store Rd. at 12:04 p.m. and found the chimney on fire at the one-story frame home with walk-in attic.
