Arrest Made In Graves Co. Home Invasion

 
Mayfield, Ky.–An arrest has been made in the November 19 home invasion that occurred at just after midnight at a Tom Drive residence in Graves County.

Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden said, “The investigation has indicated that two men forcibly entered the home, while being masked and armed with rifles. The resident of the home had reported that the two men were attempting to rob him of drugs and money. The two suspects also repeatedly assaulted the resident.”
At some point during this incident, the homeowner was able to get to a semi automatic pistol and began shooting at both of the suspects hitting both multiple times. One of the suspects collapsed in the home while the second escaped to an awaiting vehicle outside. Both of the suspects were later transported to area hospitals for treatment of their gunshot wounds.
Late Wednesday afternoon, one of the suspects that was being released from an area hospital was placed under arrest and served with outstanding arrest warrants related to this investigation.
At 7:15 PM Wednesday, November 27, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22 year old Valdarious D. Starks of Clarksville. He was charged with 1st Degree Burglary, Kidnapping, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Assault 2nd Degree, and Robbery 1st Degree.
Starks was taken to and lodged at the Graves County Jail. Bond had not been set at the time of this release.
This investigation is continuing and additional arrests are expected.
