Union City, Tenn.–Obion County Sheriff’s Captain Scott Watkins, K9 Handler Cory Pinion and K9 Zita conducted a demonstration Thursday at Discovery Park of America during Home School Days. They demonstrated to the students how to train a narcotic detection canine to detect the odor of narcotics and showed how to properly use and care for a canine in law enforcement. According to the press release from the Obion County Sheriff’s Office, K9 Zita made an appearance and did an outstanding job showing the students and other patrons of of Discovery Park how she locates narcotics in just a matter of a few seconds.
