Threats With Gun Lands Suspect In Jail

Murray, Ky.–A man who threatened his ex-girlfriend with a gun in Murray has been arrested in Marshall County.
Murray Police issued an arrest warrant for Billy J. Puckett Sunday night after responding to a Murray restaurant to meet with the female victim.
According to the press release, the victim said she was threatened with a handgun by Puckett. The victim stated that Puckett brandished a handgun from the center console of the vehicle they were in, chambered a round, and then verbally threatened her. The victim was able to flee from the vehicle and hide until officers arrived.
After an investigation into the incident and after speaking with witnesses to the
incident, an arrest warrant was obtained for Puckett. Puckett was located by the Marshall
County Sheriff’s Office.
Billy J. Puckett was arrested by Murray Police Department Officers and
charged with one count of 1 st Degree Wanton Endangerment and one count of 3 rd Degree
Terroristic Threatening. He is lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
