Pryorsburg, Ky.–A 29-year-old woman was arrested on a long list of charges after a wild pursuit Monday morning in Graves Co.
Sabrina Weeks, no address given, was charged with the following: fleeing or evading in vehicle and on foot, operating a motor vehicle on a revoked operators license, several counts of wanton endangerment, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief for damaging a landowner’s fence.
On Monday morning at around 9:20 a.m., Graves Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to what was called in as a fight in progress in the Pryorsburg area on US Hwy 45 South.
As Deputy Jamie Clark was en route to the call, he met a vehicle that had been described as being involved in the altercation on US Hwy 45 just south of Mayfield.
After Deputy Clark turned around, the suspect vehicle made a right turn into the Dairyman Supply business location with Clark following. The vehicle then sped through several fields and drove across recently harvested soybean fields behind the Progress Rail facilities, running through a fence at one point during the pursuit.
According to the press release, the driver jumped from the vehicle and ran on foot while it was still in motion leaving three other occupants inside. The vehicle continued in forward motion for approximately 50 yards. The driver escaped on foot, while the deputy detained the three other passengers in the car.
An assortment of Methamphetamine related drug paraphernalia was located outside the vehicle in a purse belonging to the suspected driver, who was identified as being Sabrina Weeks. Weeks reportedly was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Calloway County Kentucky.
Several small plastic baggies containing Methamphetamine, digital scales, and an assortment of new and used syringes were found in the suspected driver’s purse.
A couple of hours later in a field near the county landfill, Detective Brooke Nelms observed the suspect and gave chase on foot for approximately 50 yards before apprehending her in a creek.
The three passengers were released from custody and the driver was lodged at the Graves County Jail.
The Mayfield Police Department assisted in the search for the suspect.
