Henry Co. Grand Jury Indicts 61

Paris, Tenn.—The Henry County Grand Jury held a marathon session Monday which resulted in the indictment of 61 individuals on a wide variety of offenses, from aggravated rape to vehicular homicide to aggravated animal cruelty. The grand jury issued one no true bill and two of the indictments were sealed until the individuals are arrested.
The grand jury met from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. last night.
Indictments included:
–Jared Payton, age 29 of 1450 Hwy. 69S, charged with aggravated rape, six counts of rape, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of criminal attempt to commit rape. Payton is accused of coercing juvenile girls into sexual contact by using illegal narcotics and shooting one of the girls with a BB gun to further coerce her into sexual contact.
–Two men are charged for involvement a two-vehicle accident in November of 2018 that resulted in the death of an 11-year-old girl and the serious injury to a 12-year-old girl.
Kevin Riley Hilt, age 40, of 55 Mimosa St., Henry, charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, one count vehicular assault, two counts reckless driving and one count DUI.
Ricky Anthony Glisson, age 36, of Camden, is charged with intentionally and knowingly neglecting a 12-year-old girl, two charges of aggravated child neglect, two counts reckless endangerment, DUI and driving without a license.
–Kayla Watkins, age 27, 13375 Old Paris-Murray Rd., Puryear, aggravated animal cruelty, three counts cruelty to a companion animal. She is charged with intentionally causing serious or physical injury to a companion animal and not provided adequate food, water or shelter to other dogs.
–James Austin Conger, charged with evading arrest, resisting arrest, aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident involving an incident in which he is accused of fleeing from Paris Sgt. Eric Long and Deputy Sgt. Wayne Fuqua.
–Matthew Adam Catlett, vehicular assault.
–Sabrina Burns Greer, impersonating an attorney.
–Tyrin McCauley, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, vandalism.
–Zaria Nored, charged with aggravated child endangerment, evading arrest, driving without a license involving fleeing from Deputy Dalton Watson with a child as passenger.
–Evan Gene Owen, aggravated assault involving a baseball bat.
–Dericho Patton, tampering with evidence by throwing bullet casing in the bushes.
–James David Perkins Jr., aggravated assault by strangulation.
–Shelby Potts, accessory after the fact by providing an individual with the means to avoid arrest.
–Bruce Lindsay Robinson, vehicular assault, two counts reckless endangerment, failure to exercise due car, DUI.
–Caleb Bryan Roe, aggravated child abuse involving a child eight years old or younger.
–Jeramy Wardlow, aggravated assault with a shotgun threatening three people.
–Megan Marie Woods, aggravated child endangerment after a child eight years old or younger tested positive for controlled substance.
As always, the bulk of the indictments involve drug charges, DUI, burglaries and thefts.
