Paris, Tenn.–A hardy group of volunteers were on hand for a cleanup day hosted by the Henry County Cemetery Committee at the Paris City Cemetery Saturday. Volunteers, led by Susan Stewart and Marge Barrows, helped clean up tombstones in the historic cemetery. Committee members provided cleaning supplies. The Cemetery Committee has been working hard for some time at restoring and cleaning the gravestones at the city cemetery, which is the city’s oldest and is the final resting place for many of the city’s founders.
