Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Schools board of education has announced that dedication ceremonies recognizing two local sports legends will be held Friday night, November 8.
During half-time of the playoff game at Patriot Stadium, Bill Hudson Field will be dedicated and the Field House will be named the James Counce Sr. Field House.
The school board approved the dedications of the field and the field house over the summer.
The sign dedicating the Field House to Coach Counce will be placed along the top of the Field House on the southeast side of the building. It will be placed above the signs that are already there which proclaim the Patriots’ records.
The sign dedicating the football field to Coach Hudson will be placed directly under the scoreboard.
Director of Schools Dr. Leah Watkins said the signage will be placed at a later date.
Henry County will host Ridgeway in the first round of the TSSAA playoffs Friday night.
