Union City, Tenn.–The Union City Police Department needs the public’s help with an arson investigation. Rewards of up to $6,000 are being offered by Crime Stoppers and the state of Tennessee Arson Hotline.
Union City Lt. Derrick O’Dell said the house at 1117 S. Third St. in Union City was intentionally set on fire Saturday, October 26. As WENK/WTPR reported over the weekend, the fire destroyed the residence. Thankfully, the residents were not at home and no one was injured.
O’Dell said currently there are no known suspects.

A tip leading to the arrest and or conviction of the arsonist could earn a cash award from
Crime Stoppers of up to $1,000.
The State of Tennessee Arson Hotline 1-800-762-3017 is also
offering up to a $5,000 award for information leading to the arrest and or conviction of the arsonist.
