Paris, Tenn.–The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released more information on the accident Monday night in which a Tosh Farms Tanker Truck carrying hog feed flipped over in a gully along Shady Grove Road.
Driver of the truck was Kevin Haynes, age 47, of Dresden. Haynes was transported to Henry County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries after the accident.
According to the THP, he was driving a 2013 Kenworth Tanker Truck northbound on Shady Grove Road when the truck ran off the right side of the roadway. The truck then ran down the embankment and overturned.
The report indicates that Haynes was wearing a seat belt but does not include a cause for the accident.
Henry County Sheriff’s deputies, other first responders and Tosh Farms personnel worked all day and into the early evening hours Tuesday to empty the hog feed from the tanker, clear trees and remove the vehicle from the gully. Traffic was directed around the wreck for several hours.
