Paris, Tenn.–A Tosh Farms tanker truck carrying a load of hog feed flipped onto its side in a gully on Shady Grove Road in Paris Monday night.
The driver was taken to Henry County Medical Center Monday night and released Tuesday morning with some minor cuts and bruises. Workers had to cut down some of the trees around the truck just to gain access to it on Monday night.
It took workers several hours to empty the hog feed from the tanker and involved blocking one lane of the road Tuesday morning, as well as blocking the road completely when they were ready to initiate the tow cables and pull the tanker out of the tree-lined gully.
Allen’s Towing and Recovery of Union City, which have been working with Tosh Farms for about three years now, were on scene Tuesday afternoon.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and details are yet to be released as of Tuesday afternoon.
