Paris, Tenn.–A single-wide house trailer was destroyed by fire Saturday morning on Old McKenzie Highway in Henry County but the homeowner escaped injury.
The Paris Fire Department was called to 524 Old McKenzie Highway around 11:15 a.m. and found fire and heavy smoke coming from the front windows. When firefighters arrived, they found Homeowner Kenneth McFadden outside and uninjured, but the Henry County Emergency Medical Services ambulance was called to the scene as a precaution.
Sheriff’s deputies provided traffic control while firefighters extinguished the blaze.
According to the report, the estimated loss is $5,000 to the property and $5,000 to contents. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
