McKenzie, Henry Fire Departments Respond To Shop Fire

McKenzie, Tenn.–The McKenzie and Henry Fire Departments were dispatched to 26152 Hwy. 22 on a report of a shop fire Thursday morning.
A fire was located on a shed behind the house. An individual working on the property used a garden hose to knock down a large part of the fire before firefighters arrived.
According to Henry firefighters, the shop was smoldering when they arrived. Firefighters on scene knocked down all hot spots using the TIC Device (Thermal Imaging Camera) and cleared the scene just after 20 minutes.
The shop did sustain damage however it’s not considered a total loss at this time. It appears that an air compressor had caught fire spreading to the wood walls of the shop, according to the Henry Volunteer Fire Department.
No injuries were report from this incident.
