Graves Co. Deputies Take Student In Custody

Mayfield, Ky.–An 8th grader was taken in custody by the Graves Co. Sheriff’s Office Wednesday and charged with terroristic threatening involving school threats.
According to a press release, Graves Sheriff’s deputies received information around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday from a concerned parent concerning some social media messages being sent stating that a student had made threats of bringing a gun to school.

Sheriff’s deputies immediately began an investigation, and within a couple of hours after conducting interviews with witnesses, and the student suspect, they took the 14-year-old 8th grader into custody and filed charges against the student for 2nd Degree Terroristic Threatening.
The sheriff’s department contacted Graves School officials late last evening after being made aware of the allegation.
