Union City, Tenn.–Five Union City High School students were recently recognized by the Union City Kiwanis Club as Students of the Month.
Each of them received a certificate and was an honored guest at the local civic club’s regular luncheon at the Eddie Cox Senior Center. Among those were (from left) freshman Reagan Durkee, daughter of Doug and Jennifer Durkee; sophomore Carter Bondurant, son of Skipper and Ginger Bondurant; junior Neil Brown, son of Kemp and Cindy Brown; senior Emma Collins, daughter of Richie Collins and Bobie Phillips; and Student Achiever senior Justin Wiggins, son of Andy and Kelly Wiggins.
Beta Club Welcomes New Members
Stellar academics were on display recently at both Union City Middle School and for five UC High School students. UCMS held its Junior Beta Club Induction and inducted 26 new members in ceremonies overseen by Assistant Principal Allison Palmer. Of the new inductees, 23 were sixth-graders. Grade sponsors/middle school teachers Jennifer Bruff and Michele Huffstutter presented certificates and pins to new members. There are now 74 members in the UC Jr. Beta Club.
