Wilson, Companion Captured In Corinth

Corinth, Mississippi–Thanks to an alert citizen who recognized their license plate number, law enforcement in Corinth, Mississippi, arrested a Paris man who had been placed on the TBI’s Most Wanted List and his companion, who also was wanted on a warrant issued by Paris Police.
Paris Police Captain Ricky Watson told WENK/WTPR that Rodney Wilson and Shelby Potts were taken into custody early this morning. He said a 911 caller notified dispatch that their vehicle was right in front of theirs.
Watson said, “We always appreciate the help of the public. It’s good to know that people do pay attention when we put out these alerts.” Watson said extradition procedures will begin in Mississippi next week to bring the pair back to Henry County.
An alert for Wilson and Potts was issued Thursday with a description of the vehicle they were driving. Wilson was considered armed and dangerous.
As reported earlier, Wilson was wanted by the Paris Police Department and the TBI for Attempted Second Degree Murder, three counts of Reckless Endangerment, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon following an incident in Paris on Monday afternoon.
Shelby Potts was wanted by Paris Police on a related count of Accessory After the Fact.
A reward was being offered for information leading to Wilson’s arrest.
