Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Police Department has received a grant from Walmart for $4,000 which allowed the department to purchase four automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The Paris department works in four patrol shifts and this will allow each shift to have an AED available, 24/7, should the need arise. All of the patrol officers have been trained to use the AEDs and the potential to save lives has increased tremendously. Chief Chuck Elizondo thanked Paris Walmart and the Walmart Giving Program for partnering with the local police department to make the life-saving devices available for citizens.
