Henry, Tenn.–Henry Volunteer Fire Department units were dispatched to Henry-Mansfield Rd/Hamlin Creek on a report of a power pole in the road that was on fire around 4:30 p.m. Friday. Engine 3 responded with four firefighters to the scene to find the power pole down in the roadway blocking both lanes of traffic.
The firefighters’ team set up traffic control while the Paris Board of Public Utilities (BPU) worked to kill the power. Once the power was cut to the line the fire burned itself out.
Assisting at the scene was BPU, Henry Police Department and Henry County Sheriffs Office.
