Mary's Kids Benefit Sees Big Turnout

By Kristina Dufresne
Paris, Tenn.- The scent of grilled steak and chicken was in the air at Henry County Fairgrounds on Thursday as Tosh Farms and the Henry County Sheriff’s grilling team teamed up with board members of Mary’s Kids, a non-profit organization, to raise money for Christmas presents for the underprivileged children of the Henry School District. The money will be used for kids who aren’t eligible for other programs.
The Henry School staff works with Cynthia Humphreys of Mary’s Kids to identify the children most in need at this time of year. This program has been in place for more than 10 years. Last year, Mary’s Kids were able to provide a Christmas party and presents for 69 children. This year they hope to provide for anywhere between 50-70 children.
Tosh Farms supports Mary’s Kids each year. Ace’s Pizza of Paris sent pizzas for the workers of the event to show their support.
