Murray, Ky.–A Hazel man was arrested on drug charges after officers found him passed out in his vehicle in a Murray parking lot.
Chad Huges, age 36, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree and third degree.
Murray Police Officers Tyler Coursey and Kenny Jenkins were called to the parking lot of a business on N. 12th Street at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and found Hughes passed out in his vehicle with the door open.
Upon waking him, officers had reason to believe he was possibly under the influence of an illegal substance, according to the press release.
Officer Anna Wicker and K9 Tiko arrived at the scene. Tiko conducted an open air sniff
and alerted on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was then conducted and officers found various
pills along with Methamphetamine.
