McKenzie, Tenn.–McKenzie Fire & Rescue units were called to the scene of a huge field fire Friday afternoon, one of several that have occurred in recent days in our area as dry conditions continue. Units were paged to 305 Newton Rd. and Chief Brian Tucker said they found a 40-50 acre bean field burning with the wind blowing the fire around. The fire extended into adjacent hay fields.
