Union City, Tenn.–Excel Boat Company will be holding its ground breaking ceremony at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, at its 601 Sherwood Drive property in Union City. The public is invited to attend.
Officials from the Excel Arkansas and Utah facilities will be on hand and a more formal Grand Opening event will be held in the spring.
Union City and Obion County officials announced last year the Excel Boats Co. would be investing $7.5M to open a manufacturing plant with plans to employ 175 people over the next five years.
On Wednesday, Profile Boats announced today it has signed an agreement with Excel Boats USA to license the manufacture and sale of Profile Boats in Union City.
