Army-Navy Civil War Exhibit Set For Dover

Dover, Tenn:   The very popular “Army-Navy Exhibit” will be on display Saturday, October 5th, and Sunday, October 6th, the very popular “Army – Navy Exhibit” at the Stewart County Visitor Center, in Dover. The exhibit is hosted by Fort Donelson National Battlefield.
The special exhibit, which has a long history of visits at or affiliated with Fort Donelson, showcases historical military items and artifacts of both the inland Armies and Navies of the Civil War. Also popular are precisely detailed models of varying type gunboats, and other vessels that plied the waters of the Western Theater of the Civil War.
The exhibit, created by subject-matter experts and collectors Jack Barnhart and Kraig Lawson, evolved from a passion that they both share for the history of the combined Army-Navy campaigns of the war’s Western waterways. It is their pleasure to make this exhibit open for two days to the visiting public.
The exhibit will be shown in the Cumberland Room of the Stewart County Visitor Center, 117 Visitor Center Drive, Dover, Tennessee. Hours for the exhibit are from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday.
