Murray, Ky.–A driver from Hardin and his passenger, from Murray, were arrested on numerous drug charges after a Murray Police K9 alerted on their vehicle during a traffic stop.
On Thursday, September 26th , Officer Burgdolf was on routine patrol when he observed
suspicious activity on South 11 th Street in Murray. Upon checking the license plate of a vehicle in
question he discovered that the owner and operator of the vehicle, Jon Drum, age 37, of Hardin, had
a warrant for his arrest.
Inside the vehicle a passenger was identified as John Cutrubes Jr., age 30, of Murray. It
was discovered that Cutrubes also had a warrant for his arrest.
During the stop, Officer Wicker utilized K-9 Tiko, who alerted on the vehicle. Upon
searching the vehicle officers located various items including a marijuana pipe,
methamphetamine packed in individual baggies, various pills not in labeled containers, and
other drug paraphernalia.
Jon Drum was taken into custody with warrant served for assault 4 th (domestic) and John
Cutrubes was taken into custody with warrant served for probation violation.
Both Drum and Cutrubes were also charged with the following:
-Trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) 1 st degree, 1 st offense
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree
-Trafficking in legend drugs, 1st offense
-Possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree
