Inman Cross Country Runners Qualify For State

Troy, Tenn.- Two Inman Middle School students are headed to the TMSAA Cross Country State Championship next month in Clarksville.
Eighth graders Bayleigh Thompson and Bennett Cain will both represent the Bulldogs during the two-mile race on October 5th after earning their spots Friday evening at the West Sectionals in Troy.
Bayleigh ran the girls’ two-mile distance in 14:18 and placed fifth overall while Bennett finished the boys’ race in 14:25.
This is the fourth year in a row that runners from Inman have advanced to the state competition, including in 2017 when the girls’ team won the state title.
Also running for the Bulldogs during Friday’s competition were Kylee Perry, Disha Patel, Joy Turner, Amelia Northam, Sara Beth Patterson, Pearl Davis, Bailey Barker, Grayson Garland, Greyson Crawford, Carter Thompson, and Matthew Parish.
Inman has had a cross country team since 2014 and is coached by Kelley Eddings.
