Two Homes Destroyed In Country Junction Fire; Firefighters Treated For Heat Exhaustion

Springville, Tenn.–Two homes were destroyed during a huge fire at Country Junction Resort late Thursday night.
James Martin of the Oakland Fire Department told WENK/WTPR two firefighters were treated at the scene and another was transported to the hospital, all due to heat exhaustion.
Martin said the department was dispatched to 25 Tennessee Drive in Springville at 8:37 p.m. for a structure fire. When they arrived, two structures were fully involved.
Mutual aid was provided by Paris Fire Department, Paris Landing and Mansfield Volunteer Fire Departments.
In the course of the fire, water was drawn from Kentucky Lake by firefighters to help extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 2 a.m.
