Mayfield, Ky.–Mayor Kathy O’Nan and the Mayfield City Council welcomed Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Rural and Municipal Aid Commissioner Gray Tomblyn Thursday at City Hall for his announcement that Mayfield has been approved to receive $97,088 for resurfacing city streets.
Tomblyn said the monies come from the Kentucky Discretionary Road fund. Mayfield officials said it will be used to resurface the following city streets: 12th Street, Linden Street, Willow Street, Terrace Drive and Luisa Lane.
Mayor O’Nan said, “Many thanks to Public Works Superintendent Russ Brower for petitioning the Governor’s Office, and to Gov. Bevin for approving the funds.”
