Paris, Tenn.–Who would Allegro Fine Foods employees like to see with a pie in the face? They found out at a celebration for going three months without a recordable safety incident.
In June, Allegro Fine Foods in Paris launched a “Be Safe” safety campaign to encourage all employees to “Be Safe” at work. According to Shelli Perry of Allegro, every week team members reviewed safety topics and encouraged each other to focus on safety while working. After going three months without a recordable incident, Allegro celebrated by hosting a luncheon and having a pie in the face event!
Pie in the face candidates consisted of eight members of Allegro’s leadership team and all Allegro team members voted on who they most wanted to see get a Pie in the Face. President John Fuqua, Vice President Thomas Harrison and Quality Assurance Director Melissa Shell were each a good sport and took a pie in the face to promote safety at Allegro, Perry said.
“The safety of our employees is very important at Allegro,” said Jolie Stevenson, Safety Coordinator, “this was a fun way to keep employees engaged and focused on being safe each day”.
