Union City, Tenn.–Beginning Friday, September 20th and until further notice, the west side of Graham Park in Union City will be closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic until the completion of the two major construction projects that are currently in progress.
Robin Francis of Union City Sports Turf Management said this will not have any effect on youth soccer on the east side of the park and the current disc golf course layout will not be affected until later in the construction phase.
“This will only impact all baseball & softball fields in Graham Park,” Francis said. “The goal of this phase of the Graham Park improvement project is to try & alleviate the flooding issues that have long plagued the park each year.”
A series of new drainage systems are being installed by the contractor, Coffey Construction. The City of Union City Sports Turf Department appreciates the public’s cooperation during the construction.
