Paris, Tenn.–Tom and Marty Mikeska of Mikeska Masonry were hard at work Thursday morning completing the stairs at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the last stage of the ongoing upgrade of the local landmark.
The stairs lead to a mini-stage that can be used for small groups of performers or speakers. A circular sidewalk that is ADA compliant has been installed around the Eiffel Tower, with a main sidewalk installed in front. Interpretive signage also will be installed that will encourage patrons to visit other landmarks of the city.
The project is being financed with a Tourism Enhancement grant.
