The Dixie's New Season To Include Diamond Rio, Kentucky Headhunters & More

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Dixie’s 15th season promises to be a big one, with performances from Diamond Rio, the Kentucky Headhunters, Keb’ Mo’, Paul Thorn and more–not to mention a ‘surprise guest artist’ to be announced later.
The Dixie Carter Performing Arts & Academic Enrichment Center will also host the ever-popular School Time Performance Series and The Missoula Children’s Theatre.
Located on the historic court square in Huntingdon,  The Dixie has become known for putting together powerhouse seasons that might seem surprising for a small-town venue.  The Theatre located inside of the Dixie is named for Hal Holbrook, Dixie Carter’s husband who is known best for his performances as Mark Twain.
Since opening in 2005, The Dixie has infused West Tennessee with cultural opportunities and experiences that one would usually have access to in a larger city. Lori Nolen, Executive Director of The Dixie, shares her excitement about being a part of this unique regional growth, “We have been working hard to build a relationship with our area, and we are starting to see that hard work come full circle. The Dixie is a true part of our community.  With solid seasons behind us, The Dixie is proudly able to revisit some past successes, while adding in some top-notch new events this year.”
