Union City, Tenn.–The 2019 Pride of Obion County award went to a woman who has dedicated decades to the arts and community activities. Sacchi Doss was given the award at the annual Pride of Obion County luncheon Wednesday, always a highlight of the week-long event.
Each year, Cornfest recognizes and honors outstanding leaders and local heroes for their community involvement and dedication to Obion County.
The list of Doss’ achievements and community involvements is long, starting with opening the Union City Ballet School and helping to create the Masquerade Theatre. Over the years, she also has been involved with the Union City Civic Auditorium, Boys and Girls Clubs, Chimes for Charity and Hometown Walk of Hope, to name just a few.
