Union City, Tenn.–Junior Miss Cornfest Laney Stokes showed her creative side at Tuesday’s Cornfest Chalk Art and Concert, which was held at the library in Union City. The annual Obion County Cornfest celebration is getting busy with activities, including the Pride of Obion luncheon at noon today and Cornfest Music on the Rails Thursday at Discovery Park. Things really heat up Saturday with a full day of activities, including the Family Day at the Park, Pets in the Park, cake walks, pumpkin painting, pie eating contests, cornbread cook-off, celebrity pie in the face, corn shucking, bed race and Cornfest Idol.
