Paris, Tenn.–Paris Public Works employees were working hard–in the oppressive heat–Tuesday replacing the sidewalk on Jackson Street near the entrance to the Atkins-Porter Community Park. The Historic Atkins-Porter Neighborhood Association is creating a park and botanical garden at 311 Jackson Street. City Manager Kim Foster noted the sidewalk at that location was badly in need of repair, especially since the public and children will be using the park once it’s complete. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
