Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Patriots welcomed always formidable Brentwood High into Paris and Patriot Stadium for a non-Region Game Friday night and ended the night with a 21-14 win.
The Bruins scored first on a 5 yard touchdown run with 5:04 remaining in the 1st quarter. The Patriots answered on a 7 yard touchdown run by Jamarcus Johnson with: 33 seconds left in the 1st quarter. Henry County would score again on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone by Da’Qwon Kendall with 3:38 left in the 2nd quarter to go in at halftime leading 14-7.
Brentwood would tie the game at 14 all in the 3rd quarter with a touchdown run from 1 yard out but Henry County would take the lead for good at the 9:14 mark in the 4th quarter on a Jayden Kendall 1 yard touchdown run to go up 21-14.
Henry County 2-2 (1-0) is on the road next Friday September 20th as they travel to Clarksville High and do battle with the Wildcats in a Region contest. They return home on Sept. 27th for Homecoming against Kenwood.
