Paris, Tenn.—Henry County High School is collecting items for an historical exhibit on the 50-year history of the high school.
Items that have already been donated were on display at Thursday night’s meeting of the Henry County board of education, which was held at the high school.
David Webb said they are looking for mementos and artifacts that can be donated and/or loaned to them for a display to be used at the 50th anniversary celebration the weekend of September 27-29.
The exhibit will be part of the open house scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 29 at the school. The Linda Wilson Miller Theater dedication will take place at 2 p.m. and a time capsule will be buried at 3 p.m.
Webb said the artifacts that will be used for the display can include scrapbooks, important awards, letter jackets, uniforms, pennants, pictures, newspaper clippings, shirts, caps, etc. Some of the items, such as championship and class rings—will be placed in locked exhibit cases while on display.
You may drop off the items at the main office of the high school which is now located across from the football fieldhouse behind the school. For more info, call Webb at webbd@henryk12.net or 731 336-8920.
