Paris, Tenn.–Paris Public Works crews were busy Wednesday putting the finishing touches on the new sidewalks at the Eiffel Tower, as the upgrade project nears completion. The last part of the project will be installation of stairs to the mini-stage and that should be finished in the next few days.
The project is being financed with a Tourism Enhancement grant and includes a circular sidewalk around the Eiffel Tower, sidewalks that are ADA compliance on both sides of the Eiffel Tower and a mini-stage that can be used for speakers or small groups of performers. Interpretive signage also will be installed that will encourage patrons to visit other landmarks of the city.
The materials are coordinated with those that will be used for the Splash Pad which is being installed near the public swimming pool at Eiffel Tower Park.
