Paris, Tenn.– Public input meetings will be held at noon and 5:30 p.m. Monday, September 16th, at Paris City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the city of Paris’ intent to submit an application for a FY2019 TDOT Transportation Alternatives Grant, identifying community needs, and how the funds can be used.
Paris City Manager Kim Foster noted the window has opened for the 2020 round of the TDOT Transportation Alternatives Grant.
This grant is an 80/20 match, highly competitive, she said. The proposed project would include construction of a sidewalk from East Wood Street at the Chickasaw/Fairgrounds Road intersection, to run along Fairgrounds Road to Royal Oak, and then turn down Royal Oak and run all the way to Lone Oak Road.
The public is urged to attend.
The Paris City Hall is handicap accessible. However, any person needing special accommodations should contact City Manager Kim Foster at (731)641-1402 prior to the above stated time.
