Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Police Officer and Dispatcher of the Year were honored by State Rep. Bruce Griffey (R-Paris) at Thursday evening’s City Commission meeting. Griffey presented General Assembly proclamations to Paris Police Officer of the Year Patrolman Steve Dean Jr. and Dispatcher of the Year Heather Stone. Both were congratulated on meritorious service, integrity and professionalism in their positions with the Paris Police Department.
City Manager Kim Foster noted that BackgroundChecks.org has compiled a list of the safest cities in Tennessee and Paris is 20th in Tennessee. Foster noted, “It’s due to individuals like these and our Chief and Police Department that we’re ranked 20th.”
Both Dean and Stone were honored in May during a presentation at Paris City Hall.
