UC Students Keep Eyes On Attendance Prize

By Mike Hutchens, UC Schools Communications Director
Union City, Tenn.–Union City High School students are putting their eyes on the prize.
A 2016 Scion A4 — donated by City Autoplex and parked at War Memorial Stadium — has drawn the attention of most every student on the Union City High School campus this week.

The vehicle is the grand prize of an incentive plan to reward students for perfect attendance and will be the possession of one lucky UCHS student at the end of the 2019-20 school year.

A drawing from the names of all the students with perfect attendance at the high school will determine the car’s owner.

Chronic absenteeism is an issue throughout the country, and Union City Schools will reward its students in a variety of ways for perfect attendance with cash prizes, movie tickets, class parties and luncheons among the list of incentives at the three different school campuses.
