Mayfield, Ky.—Two Mayfield men are in the Graves County Jail after they were caught in the act of stealing items from a private residence. Thanks to a witness who alerted law enforcement, the pair were arrested, and the stolen items recovered.
Arrested were: David Hogg, age 21, and Gilberto Huaroco, age 60, both charged with second degree burglary.
At 1:13 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Dale Mason was dispatched to a burglary in progress on KY 121 N, just north of Mayfield.
According to the press release, a witness was watching the suspects and kept a safe distance and photographed their vehicle. The suspects left prior to law enforcement arrival.
Mayfield Police Officer Holden Burnham located the suspect vehicle at 844 S 13th in Mayfield and detained the suspects for Deputy Mason. Upon arrival Deputy Mason interviewed the suspects and each suspect blamed the other.
The witness had followed them to a residence on Ridgeway Dr. in Mayfield where they had dropped off some of the stolen items and then went to the N 13th St address.
The witness was actually a friend of the property owners. The owners arrived and identified their property. The two suspects were arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail. The victims had all of their stolen property returned to them.
