Union City, Tenn.–A system-wide pep rally — held annually before Union City’s home-opening football game — was held this afternoon in the Golden Tornadoes’ gymnasium.
More than 1,600 students from the three UC Schools campuses were in attendance and wildly cheered on this year’s Golden Tornado team when they entered the facility and were later introduced.
Head coach Darren Bowling briefly addressed the overflow crowd and urged them to come out and support the squad when they host Martin Luther King High School of Memphis tonight at 7.
The contest has been dubbed as First Responders Night.
