Hickman, Ky.—The Dorena-Hickman Ferry has resumed service after an extended Coast Guard safety inspection which began in mid-August.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers had been dredging Hickman Harbor and placement of their equipment forced the ferry to halt service temporarily.
The ferry connects Hickman, Ky. and Dorena, Mo., and is a vital link for commerce and tourism.
