Sacchi Doss Named 2019 Pride Of Obion County

Union City, Tenn.–A woman who has dedicated decades to the arts and community activities has been named the 2019 Pride of Obion County.
Sacchi Doss will receive the award at the CornFest Pride of Obion County Luncheon, set for noon September 18 at The Venue at Center Point Business Solutions in Union City. Tickets for $15 each are already on sale at the Obion County Library. Tickets must be purchased by September 10 and will not be sold at the door.
Each year, CornFest recognizes and honors outstanding leaders and local heroes for their community involvement and dedication to Obion County. The list of Doss’ achievements and community involvements is long, starting with opening the Union City Ballet School and helping to create the Masquerade Theatre. Over the years, she also has been involved with the Union City Civic Auditorium, Boys and Girls Clubs, Chimes for Charity and Hometown Walk of Hope, to name just a few.
Obion County CornFest begins September 14 and is a week-long celebration of activities and entertainment. The complete scheduled will be announced shortly.
